In the late 1990s, Hoover Construction Co. received the sub-contract bid on an 18 hole state of the art professional golf course to expand Giants Ridge Ski Resort.  Called, The Legend, the renown golf course was constructed with Hoover doing the clearing and grubbing, mass grading, drainage piping, top soiling and the cart paths. Several years later, Hoover Construction successfully bid and was welcomed back to build a second 18 hole professional golf course called, The Quarry at Giants Ridge Ski and Golf Resort.
